We are a small ice cream manufacturer from Zurich and Lucerne and produce oat ice cream from local ingredients. We sell directly from our Glace Velo and to order for the catering trade. do you want a lick too?

What's inside?

The basis for all our ice creams is Gutsch oat milk from Schlieren (ZH). The ingredients are sourced as locally as possible — mainly from small producers who take care of nature — and we produce with organic raw materials and are currently changing the last units.

Gelavena Crew

Based on the desire for a more progressive world, Claudia had the idea for a sustainable, locally produced ice cream and launched it in autumn 2020. Simon Zangger and Sandra Steffen were part of the team from 2022 to the end of 2024. We are currently forming a new team.

For summer production in 2025, we will produce our ice cream in the Binz in Zurich as well as our turntable in DasProvisorium. The cups will be produced by the TRANSfair Foundation in Gwatt.

Events

Our ice cream bike is our baby. We are proud of it and want to share our joy with as many people as possible. That's why you can hire our gem for your event. Naturally with delicious contents and friendly Gelavena staff.

We are super mobile and can be set up in just a few minutes.

We build bridges to the Global South. With every Gelavena ice cream sold, we support the Wildlife Action Group Wildlife Action Group in Malawi with 10 Rappeb. We know the NGO and the people personally.
